Three Dogs Find Their Forever Home With Amy!

We have not one, not two, but three amazing adoptions to tell you about! Pepper,Diego, and Stella were three of our longest dog residence at the shelter, and in a rare case were all three adopted together!

We have wonderful news! We are sure many of you recognize Reba, who we are happy to announce found a new home all her own last week! Reba was brought in as a stray nearly 3 months ago and soon after gave birth to 9 beautiful pups.

Success Stories - A Loving Home For Paloma!

In the last few weeks you may have noticed a handful of really handsome Border Collie puppies finding their forever homes. Well, now you know where they all got their good looks from! Paloma was rescued in the field at the end of July by our Humane Officers along with 8 puppies less then a week old.

Some adoptions are just meant to be! Cute little Boscoe's new family met him for the first time back in July at C.A.R.L's Pooch Parade at San Buenaventura Beach.

A New Beginning for Elmer

Last Wednesday was a wonderful day for senior sweetheart Elmer! Elmer arrived as a stray in the beginning of August in poor condition. Though we had no formal background on this adorable little fellow, it was clear he had lots of love to give.

A Home for Spirit!

We are so excited to share with our supporters the good news on Spirit-a beautiful Husky who was in our care since the beginning of July of this year. Spirit first arrived as a stray and was severely underweight.

A Home for Travis!

We are happy to let our supporters know that handsome 8 year old Travis has found a home! Travis was brought in as a stray on August 21st along with another dog, Reba, who recently gave birth to 9 beautiful puppies. These two were found wandering alone right here in the Ojai Valley and were sadly never claimed.

Last week was a wonderful week for senior dogs at the Humane Society of Ventura County! Eight year old Fred had been at the shelter for nearly 14 months when Herb and Creda saw him and fell in love.

Thirteen Year Old Tinkerbell Finds A Forever Home!

Tinkerbell (bottom L) took her freedom ride today! Loren saw thirteen year old Tinkerbell featured as the Pet of the Week a awhile back. He could not forget her so he and Sandra came to the shelter on Friday and fell in love. Everyone is excited to see this sweet girl find her forever home!

A New Life for Chance!

When Chance arrived all the way back in April, we knew it was going to take a lot of love to get him well again. His fur was covered in mats, with foxtails in his ears, and what we soon learned was nerve damage in his spine, this young dog was in need of some serious care.
