Tinkerbell (bottom L) took her freedom ride today! Loren saw thirteen year old Tinkerbell featured as the Pet of the Week a awhile back. He could not forget her so he and Sandra came to the shelter on Friday and fell in love. Everyone is excited to see this sweet girl find her forever home!

When Chance arrived all the way back in April, we knew it was going to take a lot of love to get him well again. His fur was covered in mats, with foxtails in his ears, and what we soon learned was nerve damage in his spine, this young dog was in need of some serious care.

Adorable Mason was rescued in the field by our Humane Officers a few weeks back. After receiving a stunning makeover from Amber at Puff N Fluff Pet Grooming, Mason was ready to find a new and loving home.

It looks like Christine & Marty were made for each other! Marty, now Smokey, was rescued in the field by our Humane Officers and bounced back at lightening speed with a little TLC.

We had a very special adoption last week! Handsome LJ arrived at the shelter only days old with three other siblings-all weak and barely hanging on to life. The kittens went into foster immediately and kennel attendant, Cory, took LJ under her wing. Sadly out of the four kittens LJ would be the only one to survive.

Thank you to the Clark family for adopting not one, but two rescue dogs! You may recognize handsome Obi (left) who was adopted from the HSVC back in the beginning of April. Obi is one happy pup, but this high energy Labrador Retriever and Doberman Pinscher mix needed a buddy.

We have wonderful news! Sweet Mela was adopted this afternoon by two wonderful folks, Lori and John! Mela’s story is very special and a great example of people working together to save lives. We are so proud of how far she has come. Mela has beat the odds in so many ways, but she kept going strong, and found herself the perfect home!

We are so happy for our dear Frank who went home on Saturday after being at the shelter for 14 months! Frank first arrived at the shelter on April 8th of 2015 when he was only 1.5 years old. Frank moved into the adult cat room where he settled in nicely to wait for his forever home.
