Franky has been living his best life ever since Rachel adopted him. This energetic 5-month-old had trouble finding a home that could handle his active personality. We are thrilled to share that Reggie has finally found his forever home with Shelby! Three-year-old Reggie was brought to the shelter as a stray in early April. After completing his stray hold unclaimed, the handsome Rottweiler was made available for adoption. Shelby came to the HSVC in search of a buddy for her Rottie, Freya. It was love at first sight and Reggie was quickly placed with Shelby as a foster-to-adopt pup.

June is all grown up! This gorgeous girl was adopted from the shelter on November 10th, 2021 by Alyssa. Formerly Minestrone, June was a member of our "soup kitten" litter all named after delicious soups. She loved playing in the kitten room with siblings Gazpacho, Chowder, Noodle, and Matzah Ball during her time at the shelter.

Chelsea could not be happier with her four-legged soulmate, Jeremy. She originally visited the shelter to meet a specific cat she saw on our website. However, after meeting the cat, Chelsea realized she wasn't quite the right fit for her home. Unsure and a little discouraged, Chelsea sat on the floor of our cat room to reevaluate her situation. That's when Jeremy, a gorgeous female diluted torie, emerged from the top of her cat tree and immediately sat in Chelsea's lap. The rest is history!

Java and Annika are best friends! Formerly Bob, this handsome boy was adopted from the shelter in late September of 2022 after being transferred through our rescue partners. The pair have spent the last few months adventuring together and having the best time. Most recently, Java made the move with Annika to Davis, CA, where she attends UC Davis as a biology major. He's a college boy now!

Six months post adoption and Cedric is thriving in his forever home with Nancy! This handsome guy was brought to the shelter by our Humane Officers in mid-April of 2022 as part of a hoarding case. After being seen by our Vet, Cedric was diagnosed with Calicivirus, a common upper respiratory virus that often affects cats and kittens in shelters. While not fatal, the diagnosis made it difficult for Cedric to find his forever home. Nancy was able to see past Cedric's condition and officially made him a part of her family after 114 days at the shelter!

Edward first met Rocket at an HSVC adoption event eleven years ago. He fell in love with the handsome pup and quickly decided to make him a permanent member of the family. 

"From that moment on I had a constant companion and best friend and he’s traveled the country and had many adventures," said Edward of the sweet dog. 

Rocket recently crossed the rainbow bridge after a long battle with health issues, but his memory lives on. " I shall forever be grateful to have had him. I have donated to your agency with his memory in my mind. He was a special animal to many people, never 'just a dog'," said Edward. Rest in peace, Rocket!

  

Three-month-old June, formerly Frida, was adopted from the HSVC in mid-April after she was transferred to the shelter with her littermates. She was ironically nicknamed the"black sheep" of her litter as the only brown pup in the bunch. Now 10-months-old, the adorable pup is happier than ever with her new pawrents Helen and David.

Two months post-adoption and Franky (formerly Meaty) is thriving in his new home with Rachel! His quirky personality and adorable snorting immediately captured the hearts of our staff, and soon caught the attention of his future mama, Rachel. She officially made him a part of her family in early September and it has been nonstop fun ever since!
