Oscar and Gang!
Posted by Amanda Volden · February 17, 2015 7:45 AM
Oscar was a transfer to our Shelter from Ventura County Animal Services about a month ago. He was recadopted, by Zachary, Jeremy, dad Motti and mom Jana (not in pic). What is special about this adoption is that Zachary (left) raised and saved all of the money for Oscar's adoption fee by making and selling orange juice, doing chores, and saving his birthday money & allowance. He has been saving since last August! Needless to say, we are all very impressed with this young man! Good job Zachary!! Oscar is one very lucky dog!!!

We Will Miss You Porter!
Posted by Amanda Volden · February 03, 2015 7:30 AM
Today was a very special day at the shelter! Porter, our longest dog resident went home with his new family! Porter was brought in as a stray on April 07, 2014. Throughout his stay in our care Porter was always a bright little guy, ready to play, eager to please. Our volunteers and staff could never figure out what was taking so long for this good looking fella to find a home of his own.

Teensy Goes Home!
Posted by Amanda Volden · December 18, 2014 9:42 AM
We are always so excited when one of our long-time residents is adopted! This one is extra special because Teensy, now named Leon, was with us for over seven months and he was adopted by Sue and Alex!! I'm sure a lot of you recognize Sue....she is one of our volunteers who works with socializing and training the dogs to make them more adoptable. If you want to know something about one of our adoptable dogs...just ask her! We can't thank her enough for her dedication to these deserving dogs!

Peggy and Delores
Posted by Amanda Volden · December 18, 2014 9:10 AM
We are all in agreement.....this is a perfect match! This sweet little dog is (was) Tootsie and now her new name is Peggy. She was surrendered to us when her owner went to a nursing facility. Peggy is 10 years old! She was only here for two hours when Delores came in, saw her and adopted her!
