Hi! My name is Maurice and I am a 3 year old Thoroughbred. I arrived at the Humane Society of Ventura County in 2008. I was one of the many horses that were resclued from Lockwood Valley that day.

My health was not the greatest. In fact, I was in pretty bad shape. But look at me now! I go to school with and have an amazing teacher. She has taught me so much! I know what a saddle and a bridle are and I will even wear them nicely now. My mom is so proud of me!

Thank you Humane Society of Ventura County and and all of your wonderful supporters. Thank you for help in my recovery and for finding me a new home and wonderful new life.
