The family visited the HSVC and instantly fell in love with Frankie. It did not take long for Launa and her family to decide he was the one and bring him home.

  • Keiro and Kerry are a Perfect Match

    Kerry adopted Keiro, formerly Carol, in late August of 2019. After having to say goodbye to his two beloved 16-year-old cats, Kerry was sure he wasn’t going to get another cat anytime soon. It wasn’t until his daughter, Jessica, sent him a picture of a sweet tabby kitten at the HSVC that he considered adopting again. The kitten, Carol, shared the same name as Kerry’s late wife who passed away in 2016. Kerry took it as a sign and decided to bring the sweet kitten home.

  • Success Story - Yoda the Explorer

    Newlyweds Monika and Jon adopted Yoda from the HSVC in February of 2019. Formerly Lars, Yoda captured the heart of his new owners with his sweet and slightly dorky personality. He is now living the dream as an adventurer and explorer of all things outdoors with his forever family.

  • Foster Fails - Tanner and Pepper

    HSVC Kennel Manager Angela Hanline is the queen of foster fails. She first fostered 11-week-old Tanner (left) ten years ago and quickly decided she wanted to permanently make him a member of the family. Fast forward to late 2019; Angela decided to foster 5-month old Pepper (right) after she nearly passed away in her arms. It wasn’t love at first sight, but the pair eventually bonded and Angela officially adopted Pepper last month.

  • Obsidian Found His Perfect Family!

    Nicole and Tyler adopted Obsidian, formerly Apollo, from the HSVC in June of 2017. Nicole said she initially had her sights set on a different cat when looking to adopt from the shelter, but he was adopted before she got the chance. Devastated, Nicole’s boyfriend Tyler convinced her to come back to the HSVC in hopes of finding someone else to love.

  • Tom and Jerry Are Best Friends!

    Neva came to the HSVC in June of 2016 to "just visit" the cats at the shelter. She had no intention of adopting one, let alone two cats that day until she met Tom and Jerry.

  • Milo Meets His Best Friend

    Tiana first laid eyes on Milo in September of 2017 after a friend had sent her his photo and information from the HSVC website. She got to meet the sweet pup the following weekend at an HSVC hosted adoption event and fell in love with his calm demeanor. It didn’t take long to decide that he was the one for her.
