After moving to Ventura County for a new job, Phil was on the search for an Australian Cattle Dog to become his “watchdog”. He visited the HSVC and fell in love with handsome Halo’s sweet and friendly personality. Phil brought Halo home on July 28, 2018, and he has been his right-hand man ever since!

Kiara has grown up to be one cute pup! This adorable 5-month-old girl was adopted from the shelter in late June of this year. She was a mystery dog, as no one could figure out what breed she was. While her owners, Esther and Sandra, still aren't sure of her heritage, they do know they now can't imagine life without her!

Four-year-old Jake came to the HSVC in the fall of 2017 after being rescued in the field by Humane Officers. The adorable Australian Cattle dog quickly found a new home with actress and philanthropist Autumn Macintosh. Unfortunately, Jake did not get along well with Autumn’s other furry friend, Bear, and she was forced to return him to the shelter a week later.

Steve is in full snuggle mode! Formerly Wesley, this 1-year-old cutie was adopted by Erin in early June of this year. According to Erin, it did not take long for the handsome orange tabby to settle in his new environment. He can now be found lounging all over Erin's home in quirky positions. That's our boy!
