Red the Rescue Dog

Red was adopted by James and his wife in April of 2017 after he was brought in to the HSVC as a stray a few weeks prior. The happy-go-lucky Queensland Heeler now enjoys frequent hiking adventures to the mountains and beach days with his forever family! What a life!

Louie is Loving Life with Ruby!

Two-year-old Louie was one of the many Chihuahua mixes brought to the shelter as part of a dog hoarding case in Santa Barbara County. Upon arrival at the HSVC, our staff quickly learned Louie had a very affectionate personality. He loved to cuddle and was friendly with anyone he encountered. It was those qualities that made his new mama, Ruby, fall in love with the handsome Chihuahua and decide to bring him home!

Kip the Beach Bum

Five-year-old Kip was adopted by Briann and Steve after he was transferred to the HSVC through our rescue partners. He was very sweet, but very shy when he first arrived at our shelter. According to Briann, the handsome German Shepherd has come a long way since they brought him home in July of 2020.

Raymond and Rishi are Best Furiends!

After losing their beloved cat, Little Girl, to cancer, Emily and Mark began to notice their other cat, Rishi, was very lonely. They reached out to the HSVC to find a new furry furiend for Rishi with a personality similar to his. Our staff recommended 5-month-old Raymond, and the couple instantly knew he was the one upon meeting him. Emily and Mark brought Raymond home that day, and he and Rishi have since become best furiends!

Panda the Petite Explorer

Two-year-old Panda, formerly Fancy, was adopted May 1st, 2019 by Mya and her family. The spunky Terrier mix quickly adjusted to life in her new home and has become quite the adventurer! She especially loves exploring with her fur siblings Grace (cat) and Shilo (dog), who are also HSVC alumni!

Olive is Living Happily Ever After!

Two months post-adoption and Olive, formerly Pattycake, is loving life in her furever home with Cassidy! This adorable girl came to the HSVC as stray in early February to find a new home. With a friendly face and affectionate personality, it’s no secret why her new mama Cassidy fell in love with the sweet cat.

Meehu the TikTok Star

Sweet and fluffy Meehu was adopted from the HSVC in May of 2015. According to her mama, Amulya, she fell in love with the Meehu the moment she lifted the dog up and instantly received a thousand puppy kisses. Amulya knew she had found her perfect match and adventure companion for life!

There's snow place like home for Charlie! Formerly Hunter, this adorable Corgi/Australian Shepherd mix has been living it up as a snow pup since finding his furever home with Jill.

HSVC Alum Max is Loving Life in Germany!

Max, formerly Gordon, was first brought to the HSVC as a puppy back in October of 2016 after being rescued in the field by our Humane Officers during a neglect case. Despite his difficult upbringing, Max had a playful spirit and friendly personality, not to mention his stunning good looks! It was those handsome looks that first attracted his future owners, Nathalie and Thomas, to the sweet pup.

Quirky Karma Finds Her Family

Karma, formerly Daisy, was transferred to the HSVC through our rescue partners in early March of 2020. The 4-year-old German Shepherd mix quickly caught the eye of Kara and her family with her gorgeous looks and quirky personality. They adopted Karma on March 14th, 2020, just days before we were forced to close our doors due to COVID-19.
