Halo the Helper

After moving to Ventura County for a new job, Phil was on the search for an Australian Cattle Dog to become his “watchdog”. He visited the HSVC and fell in love with handsome Halo’s sweet and friendly personality. Phil brought Halo home on July 28, 2018, and he has been his right-hand man ever since!

According to Phil, Halo was very shy when he first brought him home but he quickly came out of his shell. He now assists Phil in his daily duties as an on-site manager at a storage facility. “He is now the office dog for Airport Self Storage in Oxnard where I work. We live onsite and he helps me keep an eye on the property. He loves greeting tenants and riding on the golf cart as I make my daily roundabouts.”

Halo’s naturally intelligent and loyal personality made him the perfect fit for Phil and his job. “He is sassy and too smart for his own good sometimes, but he has added so much character to my life the last couple of years and I am so thankful we were able to find each other.”

We are so happy we were able to bring this hard-working pair together. Thank you, Phil, for rescuing sweet Halo and giving him such a loving home!
