One year later and Skittles is still as sweet as ever! Shawna and Maliyah adopted Skittles, an adorable Chihuahua mix, from the shelter in July of 2019. She was just a puppy at the time and has since grown up to be absolutely adorable!

Shawna and her daughter Maliyah first laid eyes on Skittles after visiting the HSVC to find a new four-legged family member. They fell in love with the precious pup instantly and quickly filled out an application to adopt her.

Maliyah and Shawna were able to take Skittles home on July 13, 2019. “We love watching her grow. Our little family is complete with her!” said Shawna of the sweet dog. Thank you Shawna and Maliyah for rescuing Skittles and choosing to adopt not shop!
