Dear Friends: As this year comes to a close, we look back on our achievements and are thankful for the support we received from the community. Each year the Humane Society of Ventura County continues to grow and expand its reach throughout the community. In 2015 our adoptions alone were up nearly 20 percent from the previous year with over 500 animals finding their forever homes. Over 1100 animals were spayed or neutered in our clinic including 164 free surgeries through our Pit Bull program. Every animal that found a home, received proper medical care, was given love and attention from our staff and volunteers; was made possible by your concern and generosity.
Congratulations Tammy on giving birth to seven healthy little pups on Friday, December 18th. We are pleased to introduce Luke, Chris, Loretta, Wynona, Kenny, Taylor, and Carrie!
Meet Snipit! Snipit is a one year old Affenpinscher mix who weighs around 9 pounds. Snipit can be a bit shy at first, though her curiosity and need for companionship gives her the courage to go out there and make new friends!
Dear Friends: As this year comes to a close, we look back on our achievements and are thankful for the support we received from the community. Every animal that found a home, received proper medical care, was given love and attention from our staff and volunteers; was made possible by your concern and generosity. There are many other services provided by your local Humane Society. We provide low cost spay and neuter services. Our Humane Educator promotes the humane treatment of all animals. Our Humane Officers respond to calls of suspected animal abuse. Our Pet Food Bank is here to support families who struggle to care for their pets. The Shelter continues to provide a safe haven for animals as they await their new forever homes. We are here when they need us the most and we are here because of your generosity. As we look forward to the coming year – our 84th – we hope you will continue to support the Humane Society of Ventura County. Our efforts to provide care and protection to animals throughout Ventura County help make this an amazing place to live. The Board of Directors and the staff at HSVC thank you for your support! With your donations we will continue to provide compassionate care and protection to animals throughout Ventura County.
It doesn't get much cuter than this! We received this letter in the mail today from "The Cat and Dog Business" of Cypress Elementary School in Newbury Park, who raised 53.00 dollars to help the animals of the HSVC. We are so grateful for the hard work that went into raising these funds. Thank you for thinking of the animals!
Thank you to everyone who has dropped off or sent in gifts for our animals! Our donation tree looks beautiful and a daily reminder during this giving season of the support and love we receive from our community. We couldn't do this without you!
Did you know that we depend entirely on our communities support for our organization to operate? YOU ARE IT.
