We are pleased to let our supporters know that two rescue horses who were rehabilitated at the Humane Society of Ventura County were adopted into a loving family last week!
Shaggy is a darling male, black and tan Beagle and Welsh Corgi mix who loves to be around people! Shaggy is a little sweetheart who knows how to have a good time and would make a great pal for someone looking for a dog who loiles adventure but is also content just at home relaxing with his people. Shaggy is ready to be your beach or hiking buddy and already knows an assortment of commands such as sit, speak, and lay down.
Reba is an adorable 6 year old cream colored Pomeranian mix. Our staff, who has spent plenty of one on one time with her say that Reba is very sweet and loving. Reba will make both a great lap dog and activity buddy. She does well with other dogs and has most recently made friends with another dog, Harry, who came in the same day as her.

For 84 years the Humane Society of Ventura County has provided services to the community to improve the lives of animals in need. We invite you to come celebrate with us all the lives that have been saved and advancements in animal welfare in our community at our Open House and Kennel Campaign Kick Off on Saturday, June 11th from 10-4:00!
A very special thank you to volunteer photographer Greg A. Cooper who put a wonderful and informative photo class together for staff this week! All day long we are taking photos as animals arrive, are adopted, and everything in between.
This gorgeous lady is Eve. Eve is a 2 year old German Shepherd and Cattle dog mix (most likely some Labrador in there too) who arrived at the Humane Society of Ventura County on January 15th.
