There's Still Time to Register Your Child for Summer Camp!

   We still have several spots available for this summer's Animal Friends Camp! Parents are invited to register their children aged 7-10 for a week of fun at the shelter. This year's camp is being held June 20th-23rd from 10 am - 2 pm. Campers will learn more about how to care for domestic and wildlife animals in our community through wildlife exploration, animal observations, critical thinking, and more.

Old Dawgs, New Tricks to Play at 91st Birthday Celebration

The HSVC is very excited to welcome Old Dawgs, New Tricks to the shelter to perform at this year's birthday bash celebration! The multi-format cover band has a collective experience that spans over 20 years playing R&B, Motown, and Classic Rock tunes. We're thrilled to have them celebrating with us! We hope you can join us in honoring our 91st birthday this Saturday, June 10th, at the shelter from 11 am - 2 pm. This FREE community event will feature food, a beer/wine garden, kids zone, a kitten kissing booth, free birthday cake, and more. You don't want to miss the Pooch Parade featuring many of our adoptable furry friends strutting their stuff for the crowd! Kittens are 2 for 1 All June Long!

Like many shelters this time of year, the HSVC has been hit with an influx of adorable fur babies looking for forever homes. We want to help these cuties find new homes as soon as pawsible! We're offering an adoption special on all kittens under 6-months of age in honor of Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat month! Those interested can take home two kittens two for the price of one ($150) all June long. That's double the cuteness for half the price! Visiting hours for our kitten room are Monday - Saturday from 10 am - 5 pm. The HSVC is located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, CA. Included with all cat/kitten adoptions is the first FVRCP shot in the series, a leukemia test (if age allows), rabies vaccine (if age allows), a medical exam good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, deworming, implanting an identification microchip, registration of microchip, spay or neuter surgery if necessary as well as a safety collar, ID tag, and a cardboard carrier.

All are invited to join us on Friday, June 9th, from 6 - 9 pm for BBQ & Brews, a ticketed fundraiser dinner to celebrate HSVC's 91st birthday and benefit animals in need.
