Mr. Whiskers - The Movie!

By Amanda Volden

We have been waiting to share this video until our cats were well enough for visitors. it may be another day or two so please call the shelter before you come to visit them. In the meantime enjoy this hilarious and amazing video that Mr. Whiskers previous owners made to show the world what a great cat he is! Mr. Whiskers family had to surrender him to the shelter for reasons unavoidable. It's rare that folks who surrender their animals to us participate in finding them their new home. Not the case with Mr. Whiskers! They sent us this video the other day and have been calling regularly to see how he is doing.

Update: Senior Love Mandarin

By Amanda Volden

UPDATE: We were all so happy to receive the following update on our dear Mandarin who was at the shelter for over 6 months before she was adopted about 4 weeks ago. We estimated that Mandarin was between 15-17 years old. It takes a special person/s to adopt a senior animal, but as you can see the rewards are priceless! We have quite a few senior animals at the shelter now hoping to one day have their own "senior retreat".
