What an amazing makeover! Amber at Puff N Fluff Pet Grooming in Meiner's Oaks has done it again! Poor little Ashro arrived at the shelter in complete disarray. No need to be alarmed when we have such awesome members of our community willing to help out with these innocent animals.

A Home For Dandy!

Last Thursday, February 11th was a day of celebration at the Humane Society of Ventura County when long term resident, Dandy, finally had his big day. Staff and volunteers gathered to watch and say their goodbyes as Dandy was loaded into a trailer to be off to his new forever home.

Five Dollar Friday - Mela Needs Your Help!

Two weeks ago we featured a young cattle dog mix named Mela for our Five Dollar Friday raising nearly $900 for a surgery she needs on her hip. Yesterday Mela had a visit with the surgeon and Mela's surgery went from a previous quote of $1200 up to $2292.50 (please see quote below). We are determined to get sweet Mela the care she needs and we need your help!
