Two weeks ago we featured a young cattle dog mix named Mela for our Five Dollar Friday raising nearly $900 for a surgery she needs on her hip. Yesterday Mela had a visit with the surgeon and Mela's surgery went from a previous quote of $1200 up to $2292.50 (please see quote below). We are determined to get sweet Mela the care she needs and we need your help! 

Mela's pain and discomfort in her hip is the result of an unknown accident. The bone in her hip joint and socket broke off and shattered- she requires surgery to remove each of the bone fragments. The sooner we can get Mela in for surgery the quicker she will get back to a pain free life. It is our hope to not only get Mela the care she requires to keep her smiling but also to find a quiet home for her that can meet her needs as she recovers.
