This week the students of Ojai Valley’s Pre-K class visited the Humane Society of Ventura County for a grand tour of the facility. The students, who recently held a fundraiser to raise money for the shelter, were treated to a behind the scenes look at where their hard earned donations go.
Thank you to Ojai Photography Club for inviting the Humane Society of Ventura County's Director of Community Outreach Greg Cooper to speak at this evenings special event at Ojai's Kent Hall at 7:00 p.m. The presentation, entitled “Volunteerism: Putting Your Photographic Skills to Use in the Community" will cover topics on volunteering as a tool to enrich the community and how to start getting involved.
The Humane Society of Ventura County offers a variety of fun service and learning oriented camp sessions for various age groups between 7 and 15. An array of topics are covered in these camps and include hands on work with shelter animals as well as information about animals in the wild both locally and around the world.
