Visiting classrooms is one of my favorite things to do as Humane Educator. I meet many wonderful teachers and students along the way.
The second in a series of video shorts featuring Adoption Success Stories is now available for your viewing enjoyment. Max was adopted by Beth and her family in 2008 from the Humane Society of Ventura County. You may recognize Max and Beth from their nearly daily visits to Starbucks for his “puppuccino” treats. Beth tells the story of how Max became an integral part of their lives, especially now that her children or growing and moving on to college.
We are pleased to announce this fall’s Open Board Meeting will be held at the Shelter on Wednesday, October 17th at 6pm. The meeting will take place at the Humane Society of Ventura County in front of the Harry Valentine Visitor Center.
Dear friends, our Low Cost Shot Clinic on Saturday, October 6th, at the Humane Society of Ventura County, has been canceled. The next clinic to be held at the shelter will be Saturday, October 20th from 10-1.
A very special thank you to Brooke and Steve Gianetti who stopped by the shelter last week to hand deliver a $500 donation to the Humane Society of Ventura County!
Our dogs and volunteers just love the new shade areas located in our dog agility yard! Just ask Frank, Mickey, Bucky, and volunteers Sue and Deb who were putting this new addition to good use this morning!
Animal Antics is a book of Shelter cartoons imagined, drawn, and painted by Shelter Volunteer Nancy Talley. This amazing book is now available in our gift shop for $20 to benefit the animals at the HSVC.
