Animal Antics is a book of Shelter cartoons imagined, drawn, and painted by Shelter Volunteer Nancy Talley. This amazing book is now available in our gift shop for $20 to benefit the animals at the HSVC.

Nancy Talley and her husband John began volunteering at the Humane Society of Ventura County in 2010 and have been regulars at the HSVC ever since. Nancy started watercolor lessons 4 years ago and in 2017 began painting small portraits of every animal that goes through the Shelter as a gift for the families adopting. Assistant Shelter Manager, Arlene MacSween came up with the idea of making “cartoons”, and this book is the fun result.
