A very special thank you to Brooke and Steve Gianetti who stopped by the shelter last week to hand deliver a $500 donation to the Humane Society of Ventura County!

Brooke and Steve recently hosted an event to celebrate Courtney Allison's book "French Country Cottage". The proceeds of the event went to support two non profits, our friends over at The Little farm in Ojai, and the Humane Society of Ventura County. 

We first met Brooke and Steve last December during the Thomas Fire when they had to evacuate their home and brought their adorable mini donkey and a few goats to the shelter for safekeeping. Even though it was a chaotic time, we will never forget how cute their little mini donkey was down in the horse corrals, always at the gate ready to greet the volunteers and staff tasked with their care with a friendly "hello".

When Brooke and Steve stopped by the shelter to drop off their donation they also happened to make two new friends in our kitten room, Bonnie and Clyde, who they came back to adopt this past Thursday! Thank you Brooke and Steve for you continued support and love for the animals!
