The Humane Society of Ventura County is a compassionate care shelter and non-profit organization dedicated to the protection and adoption of animals in need throughout Ventura County.

Summer is around the corner and do you know what that means? It’s time to sign-up for Animal Adventure Camp held at the Humane Society of Ventura County in Ojai! This year the Humane Society will be offering 3 – 1 week camps for 9 – 12 year olds (4th – 6th grade).
A big thanks to the Ojai Valley Woman’s Club who donated $500 to the Humane Society of Ventura County at a recent board meeting. Pat Essick, President, presented checks to the HSVC and four other local nonprofit organizations who offered assistance during the Thomas Fire.
Thank you to everyone who has shown their support for Handsome Jack! This past Friday The Humane Society of Ventura County kicked off a campaign to raise $6500 to cover Jack's medical expenses and since then our supporters have already raised $3830! We are beyond humbled by your support and are looking forward to keeping everyone updated as Jack improves.
This spring’s Open Board Meeting will be held tomorrow, April 18th at 6pm. The biannual meeting will take place at The Humane Society of Ventura County in front of the Harry Valentine Visitor Center.

Handsome Jack needs your help! The Humane Society of Ventura County is in the process of raising $6,500 to cover Jack's medical expenses for an upcoming surgery on his ACL. The ACL is the Anterior Cruciate Ligament, which is located behind the kneecap, and when ruptured can cause extreme pain. Surgery will give Jack the best chance of a full recovery and allow him to play and run to his hearts desire.
