HSVC Attends Ojai Valley Community Hospital Walk

We had so much fun attending the Ojai Valley Community Hospital's annual October Classic walk over the weekend! Each year, the hospital hosts a walk to motivate people to get moving and promote a healthy lifestyle. Community Outreach Coordinator Steve McCurry and Media and Marketing Manager Amy King hosted a table at the event to share information about the HSVC and encourage those interested to adopt a future walking buddy. Calling all cat lovers! Our shelter has so many adorable cats and kittens looking for forever homes, we're having a 2 for 1 adoption special! Bring home any two cats or kittens for the price of 1 ($150) or adopt one for $100. Plus, our friends at Kirby Subaru are donating an additional $100 to the HSVC per adoption all October long! Help us get these cuties out of the shelter and into their forever homes!

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme Visit HSVC

What a pleasure it was to see groups from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme (BGCOP) using their out-of-school time to help the HSVC with two days of service projects. The shelter was preparing for a big community event and the BGCOP members were eager to help showcase the animals that are currently up for adoption.
