Today marks the 22nd annual World Spay Day and animal organizations worldwide are bringing awareness to the importance of spaying and neutering your pets.
We have wonderful news! Mela's surgery has been officially scheduled for March 2nd! Mela was brought to the Humane Society of Ventura County on January 15th after being pulled from a high kill shelter by a private rescue group. Mela is an absolute doll but has a medical condition that requires the support of our community to get her back on her feet.
Beautiful Lulu was brought to the HSVC on February 8th as a stray. This sweet French Lop rabbit is a gentle girl with fur as soft as fresh flower petals.
Two weeks ago, on February 4th, 8 dogs were brought to the Humane Society of Ventura County after being rescued by Humane Officer Vail and officer-in-training Winwood. Humane Officer Vail had received two separate anonymous calls in regards to dogs living in very poor conditions. The dogs were signed over to the HSVC after the previous owners agreed that it would be best for the dogs to be in our care until they can be re-homed.
ATTENTION: We have a few changes to our Low Cost Shot Clinic dates and times for February and March. There will be no clinic this Saturday, February 20th or Saturday March 19th. The next clinic will be March 5th from 10-1. Thank you for your understanding!
