Pet Food Bank Available At Two Locations

Justin Homze co-founder of the Upper Ojai Thomas Fire Relief Station, helped Director of Community Outreach Greg Cooper unload 1,500 pounds of chicken and pig feed to the Upper Ojai Thomas Fire Relief Station where it will be redistributed to those in need.

Help Reduce Animal Over Population In Our Community!

Since the opening of a new spay and neuter clinic in 2012 the Humane Society of Ventura County has offered spay and neuter surgeries for cats and dogs to the community at a reduced rate. Each low cost surgery is made possible by your generosity, people like you, who care about improving the lives of at-risk animals throughout the area and beyond. Since the programs inception, thousands of animals and their families have benefitted, working to create a sustainable pet population.

Thank You Jeremy!

Thank you Jeremy for donating $500 to the Humane Society of Ventura County by selling hand-made Perlers. Jeremy spent these past two weeks during the Thomas Fire making over 100 of the Christmas ornaments and selling them at crafts fairs. He donated 100% of the proceeds to the Shelter!

Thank You Friends of the Shelter!

Here at the Humane Society of Ventura County we never imagined the level of kindness and support that would be shown to us amidst a disaster like the Thomas Fire.  As a small nonprofit with a staff of around 20 people the shelter was able to be at the forefront of animal rescue efforts throughout the county because of the tremendous support we received from across the nation.

Thank You Soul Horse!

Soul Horse, a private nonprofit located in Beaumont,Texas, was making a run to Colorado to assist a herd of horses in need when they first learned about the wildfires in Southern California. They immediately new they wanted to help and started making calls to see how they could offer their assistance to horses displaced by the raging fires. After some research they came across the Humane Society of Ventura County and hit the road with their truck and trailer out to Ojai.
