The Humane Society of Ventura county thanks everyone who came out for our low-cost vaccination clinic at our Shelter this week. We had about 30 pets come through for their Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP and FVRCP shots.
The Humane Society of Ventura County celebrated Lea’s return home today after her year-long stay at the Shelter in Ojai.

LOW-COST SHOT CLINIC NEW HOURS SCHEDULE! A Low-Cost Shot Clinic every other Thursday of each from 2:00-4:00 starting Thursday, January 9th. Responsible pet ownership includes making sure your pet is happy & healthy-nutritious food, routine grooming, proper exercise, regular health exams, and vaccinations are all part of being a pet parent. Proper care can really add up and taking preventive measures in one of the best ways to balance your budget while getting the best care for your pet.

🐱FUN FACT🐱: Did you know that the breeding season for cats depends on the number of daylight hours and environmental temperature? This means cats typically go into "heat" during the spring, summer, and fall and can have multiple estrous cycles (and litters of kittens!) during the warmer months. That means NOW is the best time to get your kitty fixed. To help "Beat the Heat", the Humane Society of Ventura County, along with our partner organizations listed below, is offering a great promotion to kick-off 2020. All cat and kitten spay and neuter surgeries are just ten dollars throughout the month of January. Please call us to schedule an appointment, and as always, feral cats in traps are free of charge.
The Humane Society of Ventura County is pleased to announce the adoption of Sadie Mae and Juniper recently to The Hogan Family Foundation. Two horses brought to the HSVC from cases involving the HSVC Humane Officers will be spending their time at Rancho St. Frances in Hidden Valley.
