By Franki Williams

Thank you to Topa Topa Elementary School Leadership for stopping by the Humane Society of Ventura County today with a generous donation! The group consisting of 5th and 6th-grade students chose the HSVC as the beneficiary of their year-long efforts in helping out a community organization. Since the start of the school year, the students worked to raise money to purchase needed supplies for the Shelter including paper towels, laundry detergent, pet food, brooms and cleaning supplies. “It’s so encouraging to see students at elementary schools working to make a difference with local community organizations,” said Greg Cooper, Director of Community Outreach for the HSVC. “We are incredibly grateful for their donation,” continued Cooper.
