The Humane Society of Ventura County would like to thank the 25 volunteers who showed up to clean the shelter yesterday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

These hard-working volunteers spent the day sprucing up the grounds, cleaning horse and donkey stalls, setting up and moving corral panels, cleaning dog yards, moving old straw bales, trimming trees, repairing stairs, and weeding the property.

After housing over 250+ animals from the latest fires and rains, the grounds needed the cleaning and the shelter looks amazing. We are so grateful to everyone who came out on this wonderful holiday
