Hill & Woolsey Fire Update 11/10

The Humane Society of Ventura County is open for those who have been evacuated and are in need of sanctuary for dogs, cats, horses or other domesticated animals. Fire officials have issued mandatory evacuations for thousands of homes in Ventura and Los Angeles Counties due to The Hill and Woolsley Incidents.

Holiday Photo Op: Santa Paws is Coming to Town!

The holidays are on their way, and it’s almost time for Santa Paws! The Humane Society of Ventura County’s popular annual two-day holiday photo-shoot event will take place on upcoming Sundays, Nov. 18 and Dec. 2, at the HSVC’s shelter in Ojai, at 402 Bryant St. Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.

HSVC 2019 Calendar Release

The Humane Society of Ventura County 2019 Calendar is now available at the shelter's gift shop and online. The calendar is a culmination of images made by HSVC volunteers and staff over the past 12 months. The animals featured in the 13-month calendar were either adopted through the HSVC or were under our care at one time.
