Mountains 2 Beach Marathon Finish Line Festival

• When: Sunday, June 5th, 7 am - 1 pm
• Where: The Promenade (across from Ventura Fairgrounds)
• What: Join us at the finish line celebration for the Mountain 2 Beach Marathon! Stop by and visit our booth to meet some of our adoptable furry friends and learn more about the HSVC!

HSVC's 90th Birthday Bash and Open House

• When: Saturday, June 11th, 10 am - 3 pm
• Where: Humane Society of Ventura County, 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, CA
• What: The Humane Society of Ventura County is turning 90 and we want to celebrate with you! Join us at the shelter, located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, on Saturday, June 11th, from 10 am - 3 pm for a festive party to celebrate our milestone birthday! This year's event features food trucks, vendors, an adoptable dog parade, and more. You don't want to miss out on our biggest birthday bash yet!

Pollinator Garden Decorating Event

• When: Monday, June 20th, 10 am - 12 pm
• Where: Humane Society of Ventura County, 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, CA
• What: Stop by the shelter, located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, on Monday, June 20th from 10 - 12 pm to help us beautify our new pollinator garden! Bring a large rock of your choice to paint and add some color to the space. We will supply the paint, brushes, and whatever else you need to express your creativity!

Animal Adventure Summer Camp

• When: Tuesday, June 21th, 10 am - 2 pm (week 1)
• Where: Humane Society of Ventura County, 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, CA
• What: Calling all animal friends! Come join us at the Humane Society of Ventura County shelter where you will learn more about how to care for and be responsible for animals.  

  In this 4-day program, campers are introduced to information about caring for and being responsible for companion animals and our local wildlife. Every day of camp is filled with arts and crafts, lessons about the proper treatment of animals, and sharing ideas about how to protect animals. Campers will also explore the newly planted pollinator garden and participate in learning how pollinator gardens help wildlife. There will be a mix of indoor and outdoor time. And every week has a special guest appearance (subject to change).  At the end of the camp on Friday, there will be a water activity to help campers cool off. 

  Note: This is a drop-off day camp (10 am-2 pm). Animal interactions are not a guaranteed experience at this summer camp. Every day is different at our shelter, animals come and go, and the animals ready for play change daily.

Barkfest Ventura

• When: Saturday, June 25th, 10 am - 5 pm (events all day)
• Where: Mission Park, 188 E Main St. Ventura, CA
• What: Pet lovers unite! Join us at Barkfest on June 25th from 10 am to 5 pm at Mission Park in downtown Ventura for a day of fur-filled fun! There will be activities for all ages, shows, and free vaccines courtesy of the HSVC. It's a party for your pups, but you can come too!

Ojai Community Farmer's Market

• When: Thursday, June 30th, 3 - 7 pm
• Where: Chaparral Courtyard, 414 E Ojai Ave, Ojai, CA
• What: The HSVC is excited to regularly attend the Ojai Community Farmer’s Market. Joining us each month will be our wonderful Animal Ambassadors sharing insight on our adoptable animals, our Humane Educator, offering crafts and classes for kids, and a staff member from Community Outreach, sharing the shelter’s abundant resources. We'll see you there!
