Help Us Care for Evacuated Animals!

By Humane Society of Ventura County

It's been a busy week at the HSVC and we don't see it slowing down any time soon! We have taken in several evacuated horses whose homes were being threatened by severe flooding. Our Humane Officers and equine specialists went out in the field to assist anyone in need with evacuating their barn animals. Our kennel staff has been working tirelessly to care for the additional animals now at the shelter and our office staff has been busy answering calls to offer additional resources. Thank you all for your dedication and hard work!

Thank you, Larry!

By Humane Society of Ventura County

The HSVC would like to extend a big thank you to volunteer Larry for making new signs for the shelter! Larry, a longtime supporter of the shelter, handmade each sign and even installed them for us on a gorgeous post. Interim Shelter Director Arlene MacSween, (left), Community Outreach Coordinator Steve McCurry (left, middle), and Executive Director Eric Knight (right) were on hand to accept the new signs and thank Larry for his generosity. We appreciate your continued support, Larry!
