Help Us Care for Evacuated Animals!

It's been a busy week at the HSVC and we don't see it slowing down any time soon! We have taken in several evacuated horses whose homes were being threatened by severe flooding. Our Humane Officers and equine specialists went out in the field to assist anyone in need with evacuating their barn animals. Our kennel staff has been working tirelessly to care for the additional animals now at the shelter and our office staff has been busy answering calls to offer additional resources. Thank you all for your dedication and hard work!

Now we need your help! The HSVC offers evacuation and boarding services at no cost to owners and for as long as they need. Due to the influx of evacuated animals now under our care, we are going through our supplies rapidly. We're looking for supporters to donate shavings, hay, bedding pellets, alfalfa pellets, and stall mats to help keep these animals comfortable and happy during their stay at the shelter. Donations can be dropped off in person at the shelter any time during business hours Monday - Saturday from 10 am - 5 pm. The HSVC is located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, CA.

Those unable to donate in person can still support our efforts by donating via our website. We appreciate your support!
