Wind Advisory in Effect Throughout Ventura County
A wind advisory and high wind warning are in effect Monday, January 18th, until 4:00 AM PST Wednesday, January 20th for the Ventura County, Santa Monica, and Los Angeles Mountain areas. For the High Wind Warning, northeast winds 40 to 55 mph with gusts up to 80 mph are expected. For the Wind Advisory, northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected.
Powerful winds can blow over trees, power lines, fences, and more. Please be sure your pets have up-to-date identification on their tags and microchips in the event they escape during the windstorm. Have a go-bag ready for yourself and your furry friend in the event of an emergency evacuation.
