Volunteer Spotlight: Victoria Pearson

The HSVC would like to shine a spotlight on volunteer photographer Victoria Pearson and the amazing work she does with our shelter dogs! A longtime volunteer and lover of animals, Victoria has been donating her skills as a professional photographer to the HSVC for years. She uses a simplistic style with an emphasis on natural light to showcase our animals' stunning good looks and unique personalities. The results speak for themselves!

It's important to recognize that these spectacular photos don't just happen on their own. Victoria works diligently with our staff and shelter volunteers to first make sure that each animal is comfortable during each photo shoot. Working with live shelter animals can be quite difficult, as you never know how they will react to the environment, equipment, or flashing lights of the camera. Victoria is very patient and allows each animal to explore the set before settling in with a volunteer handler to get the perfect shot.

Victoria has done so much to bring awareness to shelter animals. Her portraits are admired by our supporters across the nation and have played a huge part in getting the animals in our care into loving homes. Thank you, Victoria for sharing your gift with shelter animals!
