The HSVC would like to extend a big thank you to the ladies of Girl Scout Troop 65026 for stopping by the shelter to donate food to our shelter animals! 

According to troop leader Amy Joy, the Girl Scout program is "girl-led", meaning the scouts get to decide what they want to do as a troop. The girls recently showed interest in doing a service project to give back to their community. After brainstorming ideas at their troop meeting, it was decided that the troop would donate food to the HSVC to help animals in need.

Each scout looked at our website online and chose an animal currently at our Shelter to donate food for. The entire troop visited the Shelter over the weekend to drop off their donation and were treated to some snuggle time in the kitten room in exchange for their kindness.
