Thank you Heather for stopping by the Humane Society of Ventura County recently to drop off a donation from the Topa Topa Elementary 5th grade leadership group. Several of the students were on hand for the donation as was HSVC office dog Maso.

Twice this past academic year, once for Halloween and again for Valentine’s Day, the leadership group made Boo Grams and Happy Heart Grams and sold them for 25 cents each. Students and staff from the entire school were invited to participate by purchasing the cards for a surprise delivery on campus.

According to Heather, the leadership group team coordinator, all the students in the group helped make this happen. Together they raised over $300 and split the donations equally between the HSVC, Help of Ojai and the Ojai Valley Community Hospital Foundation. California Custom Painting kicked in an additional $50 honoring Topa Leadership. Thank you to all!
