The HSVC was delighted to receive several hundred pounds of food, treats, and a large financial donation from the Realtors of the Ojai Valley Helping Our Community group. All the food and financial support will go towards the HSVC Pet Food Bank at the shelter and the Pantry 4 Paws program food pantries throughout Ventura County.
Since March of this year, when the COVID-19 pandemic locked down the community, the HSVC has had an increase in demand for pet food for those impacted most by the pandemic. All the realtors and their clients who donated towards this cause will be able to smile knowing that their donations make a significant difference for those most in need throughout Ventura County.
According to Jeri of NextHome Pacific Coast Realty, the members of the group were discussing ways to help those in need since COVID-19 hit. Within two weeks, the group collectively raised the food and money to deliver to the HSVC. Several area businesses helped their cause including American Hay & Mercantile, Wachter Hay & Grain, Pets & More, and Ojai Valley Feed. Thank you to all who donated to help those in need!
The HSVC is still accepting in-person donations at the shelter. Please be sure to follow public safety protocols (social distancing and wearing a mask) when dropping off items. To make a donation online, please visit our website or our Amazon Wishlist.
