Talley Cats Mark the Hay Barn at the HSVC
Special thanks to John and Nancy Talley for painting the Humane Society of Ventura County logo on the side of the newly constructed hay barn at the Shelter property in Ojai. John and Nancy have been volunteering at the Humane Society of Ventura County since 2011.
John recalls when they came to volunteer for the first time, “it was obvious that the staff and volunteers really cared about the animals and worked very hard for their welfare. We wanted to be a part of that and do whatever we could to help them.” Since that first day, both John and Nancy have been involved with multiple areas of the shelter. John has been a great asset to making sure the shelter and its grounds are well maintained. Nancy creates custom watercolor paintings of each of the animals adopted at the Shelter. Also thank you to the Ojai Valley Lions Club for funding the construction of the barn which houses the feed for the horses sheltered at the HSVC.
