Thank You St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School!

The Humane Society of Ventura County fondly looks back at all the help we received from our loving neighbors this year. We want to share a heartfelt thank you to St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School in Thousand Oaks! The 2nd grade class shares their light with us every year by completing a service-learning project with HSVC.

The 2nd graders arrived for a tour of the shelter with their hands full of donations for our animals. Their smiling, and eager faces were a joy to see. As they walked through the shelter’s beautiful 4.4 acres, students learned kind kitty greetings and practiced by meeting many of the cats and kittens that were available for adoption. They also visited with Oliver, made hide away boxes to help the kitties, decorated adoption boxes for the cats, and made some animal masks to wear.

St. Patrick’s students, staff, school, and families are amazing! We are glad to have them share their love with HSVC year after year. Their eagerness to help and their generosity is inspiring and heartwarming.

HSVC cannot do the work of saving the lives of our local companion animals without our community’s support. If you would like more information about our service-learning program, please visit www.hsvc.org/education or email me, Angie Sagliani, at [email protected]
