Staff Appreciation Paint Night

Our staff had so much fun at last week's Staff Appreciation Paint Night! Thank you to Stacey of Ojai Coffee Roasters for hosting our staff after hours and thank you to Jen Livia of Red Brick Art for teaching a private paint class! Shelter staff got to relax and enjoy refreshments as they painted a beautiful landscape of the Topa Topa mountains. It was a much deserved afternoon of fun!

“It was wonderful to put this together, the initial suggestion for a staff appreciation day came from Board President Sheila McCollum, and when I spoke with the Directors team they immediately ran with it. Amber Landis (Director of Development) and the other Directors put it all together, and it was exciting to have this event at one of my favorite Ojai spots, and to be joined by Jen Livia who I’ve known for years through her wonderful art and her extensive involvement in the community with the Ventura Marathon. We’re lucky to have an extraordinarily dedicated, hardworking staff, and this party was just a small token of the huge appreciation we have for all of them,” said Eric Knight, HSVC Executive Director.
