Help Us Find Pino a Home!

Pino is a sweet Queen mama cat who arrived at the shelter in a box this summer with her five kittens after being abandoned in a parking lot. They were rescued by a loving family and were immediately placed in a foster home for several months. Pino proved to be an attentive, vigilant, loving mama to her baby cats- all who’ve since been adopted into their furever homes. Now it’s Pino’s turn to meet her pawsome people and live in a safe, loving home!

Pino lived with her amazing Foster mamas for several months, slowly and steadily learning to trust them, and eventually seeking their attention for scratches, snuggles and snacks! Pino thrived with the individual attention and love she received, she learned to be social with her humans and showed us her catpacity to evolve socially.

Pino is always dressed to impressed in her fancy pants tuxedo suit, but don’t let her dapper good looks deceive you- she’s scrappy when she needs to be! Pino must have humans who will respect her slow to trust instinct, and patiently grant her space to adjust to new surroundings, scents, and sentient beings.

We think she’d make an excellent mouser based on her fierce playful purrsonality, and keen sense of awareness. She would thrive in a home with an enclosed outdoor area and would fare well living solely indoors - especially in her own space comfortably furnished with hiding nooks and high posts to nap, bask in sunshine and bird-watch her friends. If you’re interested in adopting our purrecious, sometimes temperamental Queen Pino, please reach out to the shelter at 805-646-6505 or stop by to meet her! The HSVC is open Monday - Saturday between 10 am and 4:30 pm and we're located at 402 Bryant St. in Ojai, CA.
