Pet of the Week - Wolfie

wolfie.kb.2.jpg

Wolfie is a four-year-old neutered gray and tan Poodle and Yorkshire Terrier mix who weighs approximately 23 lbs. Wolfie was brought to the Humane Society of Ventura County when he was found in unfit living conditions and his owner agreed it would be best for him to find a new home.

Wolfie is a bit on the shy side but staff and volunteers are working closely with him to get him socialized. He is responding well to his temporary new home at the shelter and looking forward to meeting his future family!

Included with every dog adoption will be the first DHPP shot of the series (if age allows), a rabies vaccine (if age allows), a wellness check good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, implanting an identification microchip (registration extra), spay or neuter surgery, if necessary, as well as a collar, ID tag, and a leash.

For dog adoptions, a yard check will be performed prior to adoption. In addition to adequate fencing and shelter, those wishing to adopt a pet must provide either proof of ownership of the residence or a rental agreement for that address indicating that pets are allowed.

Please note the Humane Society of Ventura County may have special requirements and restrictions on animals available for adoption. Animals rescued in the field from abuse or neglect cases will be overseen by our Humane Officers on a case by case basis.
