Pet of the Week - Bo

bo.cf.long.jpg

Handsome Bo was signed over to our Humane Officers after his owner of three years could no longer care for him. His previous owner expressed to us that Bo is a wonderful dog that gets along well with children, adults, and other dogs.

Bo was recently adopted to a wonderful person. However, he was returned a short time later due to the owner having a busy schedule. Even though he had Bo for a short time he reported Bo got along with other dogs and enjoyed snuggling next to his best buddy a 12 pound Chihuahua. Bo enjoyed meeting and playing with other dogs and is housebroken. Bo would often and accompanying his owner work to work and would do well in a quiet office environment.

Bo would do best with an owner or family that is home most of the time. Ideally where he can receive plenty of exercise, love, and attention. Bo is very easy to manage on a walk, or run with his owner and knows many commands such as sit, stay, lay down, shake, and hi-five. Bo also enjoys the waterholes, hiking, and riding in the car. If the new owner is interested Bo comes with one free in home training and behavior consultation.

Included with every dog adoption will be the first DHPP shot of the series, a rabies vaccine, a wellness check good for up to three days from participating veterinarians, implanting an identification microchip (registration extra), spay or neuter surgery, if necessary, as well as a collar, ID tag, and a leash.

For dog adoptions, a yard check will be performed prior to adoption. In addition to adequate fencing and shelter, those wishing to adopt a pet must provide either proof of ownership of the residence or a rental agreement for that address indicating that pets are allowed.
