Meet Xander, a 6-year-old boy who recently had spinal surgery, his 3rd surgery in his life so far. Turns out Xander is a HUGE Oliver Bird fan! After hearing this, Oliver Bird recruited some of his friends at the shelter to help him put together an HSVC care package to send sweet Xander while he recovers.

The swag bag was filled with all sorts of HSVC goodies including HSVC t-shirts, stickers, an animal coloring book, an HSVC piggy bank, and even an HSVC lunchbox filled with Oliver Bird's favorite snacks. Oliver even reached out to our good friend MrsCopyCat, who donated a custom plush Oliver Bird pillow for Xander to cuddle until he is able to visit the shelter! Thank you MrsCopyCat!
