HSVC Partners with OC Animal Care

The HSVC recently took in four dogs transferred to the shelter from our friends at OC Animal Care. Their organization, located in Tustin, CA, is currently in a local state of emergency after a fire broke out directly across from their facility on November 7th.

OC Animal Care has over 300 dogs at their shelter and is actively looking for foster homes. Two of their Humane Officers were transfering dogs to shelters in the area last week in an effort to to keep them safe and healthy. When HSVC heard about their need for assistance, Behavior & Enrichment Manager Erica Jackson reached out and arranged for four dogs to be transferred to our shelter in Ojai.

"We are so supportive of the fantastic work OC Animal Care does. It was a no brainer to offer a helping hand. We're hoping to arrange another transfer of even more animals in need next week!" said Erica.

We're thrilled to report that three of the four animals transferred to our shelter have already found their forever homes! It's the cherry on top of a heartwarming story. Thank you, OC Animal Care, for everything you do to help animals in need!
