Oak Grove School Tours HSVC

The Humane Society of Ventura County recently had the privilege of hosting a tour for students from Oak Grove High School in Ojai. The visit provided students with information about HSVC’s animal shelter, the jobs needed to run our organization, our mission, volunteer opportunities, and the pressing issue of animal overpopulation. Another crucial point emphasized was the immense significance of community involvement in the collective efforts to provide care for animals in need. Students were given the opportunity to interact with animals that were ready for gentle hands and after the tour, the students were invited to reflect upon their experience. Their takeaways were beautiful and insightful.

In a heartwarming display, an alumnus & animal lover from Oak Grove School, who is also the owner of the company Springer, made a generous donation of dog travel bottles to HSVC. Thank you for providing a practical and thoughtful contribution to the organization!
