Morena is ASPCA Right Horse Adoptable Horse of the Week!

Our friends at Horse Illustrated made Morena their Adoptable Horse of the Week! She was recently featured on their website in partnership with ASPCA Right Horse, and we are so grateful for their assistance in helping us find her a forever home. Visit their website to read the full article!

Sixteen-year-old Morena is one of three horses seized in the field by our Humane Officers as part of an abuse and neglect case in mid-August of 2022. The Quarterhorse is sweet and friendly with people, but she is very opinionated about who her neighbor is in the barn. Morena is known to our staff as our sassy, boss mare and we imagine she would keep that reputation in a pasture environment. However, she could get along with passive horses.

This gorgeous girl is broke to ride, though she may need a refresher. She is barefoot and has been saddled. We think she would make a great trail horse and could even be ridden by kids if they are experienced riders.
