We had so much fun at our HSVC Cares vaccination clinic and adoption event over the weekend! Thank you to all who attended, and a big thank you to our friends at Kirby Subaru for hosting us! Our clinic staff administered nearly 100 vaccines to pets in need, and we even found a forever home for one of our shelter animals at the event! What a purrfect way to celebrate Subaru Loves Pets Month!

This is the second year Kirby Subaru has welcomed us to their dealership in Ventura to host our joint vaccination clinic and adoption event. We had several adoptable dogs, cats, and kittens onsite, and this year we were able to offer same-day adoptions for just $13! 

Attendees enjoyed a fall-themed photo booth, animal crafts, free tacos, and more at the event. Our shelter staff were in attendance to share knowledge about HSVC's programs and services and to give away free pet goodies. It was surely a day to remember for both our human and animal friends!

HSVC hosts a low-cost vaccine clinic every first and third Thursday of the month for those still in need. The next vaccination clinic will be at the shelter (402 Bryant St. in Ojai, CA) on Thursday, October 19th, from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. Walkins welcome.

We will be celebrating Subaru Loves Pets Month and Adopt-A-Shelter-Dog Month all October long with discounted adoptions! Adult cats are just $50, kittens are 2 for 1 ($150), and several of our dogs are available for half-price. There's no better time to bring home a four-legged family member!
