HSVC Limiting Services Amid COVID-19

The Humane Society of Ventura County is closed to the public in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will remain staffed from 10 am - 5 pm for emergency services. The following service changes are effective March 20, 2020, until further notice. 

ADOPTIONS - Adoption services are not being performed until further notice.

FOSTERING - New foster parents are not needed at this time. 

EUTHANASIA - We are still performing euthanasia services. Please call the shelter ahead of time at 805-646-6505 to make sure a staff member is available to perform this service.

EVENTS - All events and classes are canceled or postponed until further notice. 

STRAYS - We are still accepting local stray animals. Please call ahead before bringing animals to the shelter at 805-646-6505.

RECLAIMING - Please call ahead before coming into the shelter to reclaim your animals at 805-646-6505.

SURRENDERS - We are encouraging the public to limit owner surrenders to urgent situations only. Please call ahead at 805-646-6505 before arriving at the shelter with your animal.

LICENSING - Please call 805-646-6505 for licensing information.

SPAY/NEUTER - Please call the shelter at 805-646-6505 for more information about making an appointment.

VOLUNTEERING - No volunteer opportunities at this time.

MICROCHIPPING - We are not performing microchipping services at this time. 

PET FOOD BANK - Our Pet Food Bank is still open and available to those in need. Donations are accepted in person or via our Amazon Wish List.
