The Humane Society of Ventura County was honored to host a joint mixer with the Ventura and Ojai Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, August 24th. Members of both Chambers were welcomed to the shelter, located in Ojai, to enjoy an evening of refreshments, guided tours, raffle prizes, and more. We're so excited to be a part of such an amazing community of businesses!

"We are thrilled and honored that Ojai Chamber and Ventura Chamber recognized HSVC as a great location for a special joint mixer. It's always exciting to be part of Chamber events, to be among community leaders and businesses that prioritize economic development at the level of community values, so it was especially wonderful to host this gathering and be the location centerpiece for those leaders on August 24. We at the Humane Society of Ventura County are grateful for the support of both Chambers, and for the stellar Chamber leadership of Jamie Fleming (Executive Director, Ojai Chamber of Commerce), Stephanie Caldwell (President & CEO, Ventura Chamber of Commerce), and their fantastic teams," said HSVC Executive Director Eric Knight (above, center). 

Mixer attendees were treated to a gorgeous charcuterie spread provided by a local small business, Dusty Daze Charcuterie. Dusty Daze owner, Sandra, is pictured above center with HSVC alum, Mini. 

There was no shortage of animals at the mixer! Guests enjoyed entertainment provided by our very own Oliver Bird (above, left) and were greeted by several HSVC alums including Simba (above, center). Animal Ambassador Volunteers Linda Duval and Greg Van were also on hand showcasing several of our adoptable shelter dogs. Nine-month-old Max and 3-year-old Disco (above, right) mingled with our visitors and got some much-deserved attention!
