With so many homeless animals in need of shelter, nonprofit animal rescue organizations such as the Humane Society of Ventura County rely heavily on donations to keep our doors open. Here at the HSVC we are very fortunate to have the support of our community on many different levels. Our dedicated volunteers play many roles that include helping socialize the animals, performing grounds work, photographing animals, and assisting at the front desk. Businesses throughout the county show their support by hosting events, contributing portions of their sales, donating goods and services, or placing a donation box at their establishment. Even the youngest members of our community get involved through schools and youth organizations or independently by collecting goods on their birthdays and donating funds earned from doing chores around the home and neighborhood.

As a private nonprofit 501c3 organization our ability to care for animals in need is a direct reflection of our community. Our community has shown without a doubt that animal welfare and easing the plight of homeless animals is an important issue to Ventura County. We know that many of our supporters would like to be involved but there just aren't enough hours in the day to find the time to visit the shelter to help out. Making a monetary donation online is the easiest and most effective way for you to show your support. You can choose which area of the shelter you would like your donation to go to on our donation page. Whether it be for our spay and neuter clinic, rescue and investigations, or for general use, your donation will stay right here to help animals in Ventura County.
