Florrie's Happily Ever After

Bridget's smile says it all! She could not be more excited to bring 19-year-old Florrie home, and we're just as thrilled! The gorgeous Connemara Pony came to the HSVC with several other horses as part of a humane investigation in early August of 2023. After receiving some TLC from our staff, Dr. April Armstrong, and farrier Stacy Hyatt, Florrie was made available for adoption. She caught the eye of Bridget in early January and the rest is history!

"She has a very fun routine and sometimes gets in two workouts a day! She has a fun run in the large arena which is mostly her exercising herself. She then has some more breakfast followed by some work in the round pen and she's doing quite well with body and voice commands. If it's warm enough she gets a rinse with our warm water hose and she stands perfectly still. The only issue we've had so far is fly spray. I took her for a walk post-bath to dry off and decided to spray her which she was not happy about. So we will just work on it!" said Bridget when we reached out for an update on our girl.

We could not be more grateful to people like Bridget who are willing to open their hearts to horses like Florrie. Thank you for giving her the love she deserves!
