Everest would love to be your new cuddle bug! Eight-year-old Everest originally came in as a stray, and after we found her owner, they realized they could no longer care for her and surrendered her to the shelter to find a new home. She has been at the HSVC for 254 days. The sweet Husky was briefly adopted during her stay but was returned due to no fault of her own. As a senior pup, Everest is ready for a commitment with an owner who is ready to give her the love she deserves.

Pretty girl Everest likes to take brisk walks, nap at your feet, and shower you with hugs and kisses. She loves treats and takes them very gently from your hand. Playful at times and affectionate, Everest still has a good amount of energy for a senior pup. Due to the nature of her breed, Everest has a small prey drive and would do best in a home without cats. She is also good around most dogs as long as they keep to themselves and respect her space. Everest loves love and her super friendly personality seeks out pets from anybody and everybody.

Her ideal home would be with someone who would give her endless amounts of love, pets, and, of course, treats. Everest wouldn’t mind grabbing a coffee or coming along anywhere with you as long as she gets to be by your side. She would do best in a calmer home as she is getting up in age and just wants to lounge around for most of the day. Everest would prefer to be the only fur child in the home so that she can have all the love to herself. However, she wouldn't mind sharing the attention when it pertains to human children because they reciprocate the affection back to her. Once she finds her forever humans, she would love to cuddle and hang out all day.
