Five-month-old Louie is Colorado's newest ranch dog! After being adopted from the HSVC earlier this year, the adorable Queensland Heeler recently moved to the Centennial state with his new mama, Michelle, and has been loving life as a rancher!

Little man Louie came to the HSVC as an owner surrender after his previous owners could no longer care for him. Our staff quickly realized this handsome boy would need a special home where he could roam freely and embrace his desire to herd. Luckily, Louie got his wish! He and his new mama Michelle made the 17 hour drive to Colorado last month to her large ranch property.

According to Michelle, Louie has fully embraced the ranch lifestyle. He even got to experience his first snow on their journey to Colorado! "Louie has such a personality and is such a lover! He is so cute, fun, and loves attention. He's learning how to be a true cattle dog now. I just love him!" said Michelle. Thank you, Michelle, for letting Louie embrace his inner rancher and giving him the life he deserves!
